Ethos

The aim of the school is to provide first-class teaching within a happy, caring environment where children are encouraged to develop lively, enquiring minds, and to apply themselves eagerly to learning and the improvement of creative and physical skills.

All the traditional values are important here: hard work, fair play, courtesy and respect for other people and property - all are encouraged and expected. Such rules as are deemed necessary are formulated to promote an ordered atmosphere in which self-discipline may grow.

The ethos of the school is based on Christian principles, and an Assembly is held each morning for all children. This is taken by each class in turn, using a particular theme for the week.

There are three 'Houses' within the school: Winchester, Salisbury and Chichester. House points are gained for excellence in academic work, behaviour, attitude, helpfulness, sport and competitions.
