Parent Information

Communication between home and school is of vital importance to the well-being of a child and opportunities exist for parents to discuss academic progress and personal development at all stages.

Parent / teacher meetings are held in the Autumn Term; these are followed by short written reports at the end of term. There is another meeting held in the Spring Term and a full written report is issued at the end of the Summer Term. Staff are available for brief consultations before and after school should the need arise and parents are always welcome to make an appointment to see Mrs Allen.

Newsletters are issued fortnightly on the website. Notification of this is given by email, which is used as the main way of communicating with Parents.

Each class will usually have a representative who is on the Committee of the Friends of The Grey House who facilitates communication with the class with regard to social events and events offered by the Friends.

We are proud of the close links we maintain with our parents and regard this as being essential to the continuing happiness of the pupils in our care.

It is with great sadness that we announce that the decision has been made to close The Grey House School and Nursery in December 2018. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the school over the 69 years it has been in existence, for their support and hope that your  memories are happpy ones.

All past staff, pupils and parents are invited to join us on the afternoon of Friday 14th December here at school. Tea and cakes will be served from 2.30 and the school will remain open in the evening for those unable to get here for the afternoon.

The buildings will all be open for you to wander through for a trip down memory lane; I look forward to seeing you here.

Chrissie Allen
