As always a this time of year, there is a lot of information for you to digest in this newsletter.
Miss Katy is to be congratulated on getting several of her dancers through to this year’s National Finals. Amber, Chloe and Lois will all be dancing in London in August.
We are sorry we had to postpone Sports Day and I hope that we have a better week of weather leading up to 23rd June when all arrangements remain as for the original date.
Congratulations to Oliver Owen-Thomas, who, in the Southern Regional Championships, was awarded an individual Silver for the Vault and a Bronze for the Parallel Bars. Basingstoke Gym Club were the first team overall and also received a Silver for the High Bar.
Hartley Wintney Festival
We had an excellent turn out for the parade and the children looked quite splendid in their costumes and it was lovely to be joined by so many of our Nursery children. Thank you so much to all who walked round and to all who assisted with the costumes but especially to Mrs Loten and Mrs Stelfox for master-minding the event. I think that given this year’s judging system whereby all the parade participants were judged together, to be awarded ‘Runner Up’ is no mean feat!
Form VI were, as you will have observed, largely absent from school in the week before half term and enjoyed a wide variety of activities culminating in the overnight Bushcraft Camp. There are photos on the website and in the School Entrance Hall.

Stevensons will be in the school Hall and the Nearly New Shop will be open from 1.30.pm.

Upper School Play
The performance of ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’ will take place at Reddam House, RG41 5BG at 7.00 pm.
Please note the children should be dropped off at Reddam House at the grassy area before the main school gates and car park, and should be collected from there at the end of the performance. Mr Thompson and his son will be there to direct traffic.
Form VI should be at Reddam House at 6 pm, no earlier as we do not have access to the theatre until then, in full costume, wearing light make-up as for the Dress Rehearsal.
The rest of the school should arrive at 6.30 pm. in costumes bringing a reading book/puzzle book or similar and extra drink if required and wearing make-up.
Please ensure you bring inhalers, epipens etc to the performance for your child. If you have children in Form VI and younger siblings in Form III, IV & V, please keep the younger children with you until 6.30 pm.
There will be squash and biscuits provided for the Upper School children in the interval.
There are no reserved seats in the theatre as all seats allow a good view of the stage but Form VI parents will be invited in first. The theatre door will not be opened until 6.30 pm. There will, as usual, be an interval (approx 20 minutes) which will allow you time to return to your parked cars should you wish to do so. The performance is likely to finish between 9.30 and 10.00.pm.
Please do not consume food and drink in the auditorium; there will be an opportunity for you to return to your cars during the interval. Thank you.
If there are younger children in the audience; please ensure they do not cause any undue noise or distraction and take them out of the theatre if necessary.
Tickets will be sent home with your child before Friday.
