Newsletter 12th March 2018

Dear Parents

Book Week

The children had great fun taking part in all the activities and special lessons and your support of the Book Fair and our Assembly is much appreciated; there is a full report on the ‘News and Events’ section of the website as well as lots of photos in the Gallery section.

Basingstoke Speech & Drama Festival

A number of children were still able to enter this Festival which had to be rearranged due to last week’s snow and congratulations to the pupils who were awarded prizes.  Results will be on the website in due course and full results in our Prizegiving Book at the end of the school year.

Farnborough Hill – performance of ‘Anything Goes’

Form V had a most enjoyable visit to Farnborough Hill to watch their performance of ‘Anything Goes’.  They enjoyed seeing former pupil Sophie Pearce-Molland on stage and it was by all accounts a superb production.

Survival Week

We are very much looking forward to the various activities planned for this week and will be reporting back to you in this Friday’s Assembly.

Ski Trip

Everyone has arrived safely and conditions are reported to be excellent.  Please be aware that we have a very large number of cars parked this week and so our playground area will be busier than usual with staff cars.

Basingstoke Festival Creative Writing Awards Ceremony – Sunday 18th March

A large number of our children are due to receive awards and I hope to see as many of you there as possible, in my ‘role’ this year as Guest of Honour!

Lower School French/Spanish Assembly – 9.00 am Monday 19th March

We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to this much anticipated and always enjoyable event.

Spring Music Afternoon – Tuesday 20th March 2.00 pm School Hall

Following the cancellation of the Music Evening, we are pleased to welcome parents and friends of those performing on this afternoon.

Lost Property

Marcus Cross (Form IV) has lost a new, named school fleece.  Please do check that it has not been picked up by mistake by your child.

Also, Kyan Odedra (Form IV) has lost his red reading glasses
