Congratulations to Oliver Owen-Thomas, who competed in a Gymnastics Competiton in Bath at the weekend and was placed 2nd in Pommel, 2nd in rings and 3rd individually overall. His team, Basingstoke, were placed 2nd overall out of 16 competing teams. Well done!
Hook Fun Run
Although we had a smaller group than usual running, congratulations to all who took part especially to Thomas in Form IV, who was 29th out of a huge field of 626. Thomas is only 9 and was competing against children in years 5 and 6 and was 9th in his age group.
For those of you new to the school, Grey Matter is our own book which contains a piece of writing from every child in the school. Copies of previous years’ books are on display in the hall of the Upper School.
The proofs are now with the publishers and we will supply one copy for each family and the sum of £8.00 will be added to your account.
If you require more than one copy, please email the Office. Similarly, if you do not wish for a copy to be reserved for your family, please email the Office to let us know.
We will be placing our order after half-term so please act promptly as we cannot order in quantities of less than 25. Thank you.
Upper School Play
A reminder that the Play is on Friday 16th June at 7 pm, Reddam House. Further details will follow in a subsequent email/Newsletter.
The performance will be ‘ticket only’ and will be priced at £4.50 for adults and £3.00 for children; the cost for ordered tickets will be added to your bill. The number of tickets will not be restricted and as before it will be free-seating. Please complete and return the order form attached to the School Office.
Prizegiving – Saturday 1st July
Our Guest of Honour this year is Mrs Alexandra Neil, Head of Farnborough Hill. A crèche will be provided for those of you with younger children. Please complete and return the form below to the School Office if you would like to reserve a place. Please note you must request a place in the crèche in advance to ensure we have adequate staff to supervise the children. The crèche will be open from 10.00 am until the end of Prizegiving – approximately 12.00 noon. Thank you.

There is morning school for Lower School children. Sun hats are not needed as the children are seated in the shade.
Girls may wear House Colours in their hair and all children may wear House Colours for ankle socks and/or laces.
For those of you new to the school, there is “free seating” for parents and friends around the lawn and there is both a Parents’ and a ‘Toddlers’ Race’.
Tea and cake will be served from 2.30 pm in the Hall.
Any decision regarding postponement due to the weather will be made by 12 noon on the day via text; please do not call the School Office. If an earlier decision is possible, an announcement will also be posted on the website.
The classrooms will be open for you to look at your child’s work; please do take the time to have a look around.
